I really enjoyed this weeks assignment. I had no idea how much technology was out there to help with education. I really enjoyed learning about the wiki and figuring out how to add sources. It was a lot easier than I thought once I started getting the hang of it. Goodreads is a really cool website. I like that you can talk to other people. It will be really helpful to use when collaborating with other teachers and getting good book ideas. Diigo was also really neat. It is a great way to organize all these amazing resources that help with lesson preparation and other aspects of teaching. Google Reader is convenient because it can be easily accessed from your google mail.
The most difficult thing I did was definitely trying to figure out my web cam so I could do a video chat. I spent over an hour trying to get it to work and then I finally ended up using my
friend's Skype. The most useful thing was my Wiki. I really want to use this with my own students and their parents so they can get more information, learn more about me, and have a place to look up their assignments.
Hi Kayla,
ReplyDeleteYour wiki was great. I really liked your Glogster poster, especially since it was animated. I am the oldest in my family too. I can relate to what you said on your All About Me page. Love the Bill Nye video! Excellent work. I am glad that you want to keep using wikis when you get out to teach. It will help you stay connected with your students and parents. :)
